1. When the petition is called out, Mr. D.M.Barot, learned advocate for the petitioner is not present.
2. The petition has been assigned to this Court for first time by order dated 30/10/2011 passed by Honourable the Chief Justice and is listed today for the first time before this Court.
3. It appears from the record that the election petition was filed on or around 24/10/2009.
4. It appears that, in view of the order dated 15/10/2012 passed by the Court (Coram: Honourable Mr. Justice S.R.Brahmbhatt), Honourable the Chief Justice has passed order dated 30/10/2012, pursuant to which, the election petition is now for first time assigned to this Court.

6. Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, written request for adjournment is made on behalf of respondent since learned advocate for the defendant has filed leave note.

The Election Petitions are required to be heard expeditiously, however, considering the fact that the petition is placed before this Court for the first time and bulky record is required to be examined and since learned advocate for the respondent has requested for adjournment with consent of learned advocate for the petitioner, hearing is adjourned to 30th November, 2012.
