Petitioner’s vehicle bearing Reg.No.KL-64-1716 has been seized on the allegation that the petitioner has violated the provisions under the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1967. According to the petitioner, he is willing to compound the offence and seeks indulgence of this Court for compounding.
Having regard to the aforesaid submission and since this Court has allowed such requests in several cases, this writ petition is disposed of as under:
Petitioner shall deposit an amount of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) as compounding fee with the requisite application before the respondent and on receipt of such fee, the vehicle shall be released to the petitioner forthwith.
