Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to the 3rd respondent in view of the judgment being passed today.
2. Petitioners have approached this Court for a direction to respondents 1 and 2 not to harass them.
3. The learned Government Pleader, after obtaining instructions, submits that on receiving complaints from the 3rd respondent and the petitioners, police enquired into the matter and came to know that there is a dispute between the parties regarding right of pathway which is a civil dispute in which the police have no role to pay. It is also submitted that the matter has been closed at the end of the police authorities and there is no allegation of police harassment. It is further submitted that the parties have been advised to get their rights settled by Lok Adalath.
In view of the aforesaid submission of the learned Government Pleader, we see no case of any police harassment. Recording the statement of the learned Government Pleader, this writ petition is closed.
