JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner was appointed as Ration Shop Salesman on 15.06.1993 by the then Special Officer of the second respondent Society on consolidated wages of Rs.250/- per day and according to him, he possess necessary qualifications also. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though in terms of G.O.Ms.No.137, Cooperative, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Chennai dated 09.11.2015, he is entitled to Time Scale of Pay and also as per the consequential proceedings of the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Cheyyar dated 30.11.2015, the said benefits have not been conferred upon him and in this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 07.04.2016 to the Administrative Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu as well as the respondents 1 and 2 and despite receipt and acknowledgment, so far no orders have been passed and hence, came forward with this writ petition.

Mr.T.Sundaravadanam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the light of the above cited Government Order as well as the administrative instructions, there cannot be any impediment on the part of the first respondent to positively consider the claim of the petitioner and therefore, prays for appropriate orders.
4. Heard Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and would submit that the representation given by the petitioner will be dealt with in accordance with law and orders will be passed as expeditiously as possible.
5. This Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
6. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
