The petitioner is running a small scale industrial unit. She was granted Exhibit P7 licence by the first respondent Grama Panchayat. The licence is valid till 31.03.2015. However, by Exhibits P1 and P2 notices, she has been directed to produce consent from the second respondent. She has also been threatened with cancellation of her licence, for non compliance. The petitioner has already submitted an application, Exhibit P3, to the second respondent, which is pending. The petitioner apprehends that before the said application is considered, her licence would be cancelled. The petitioner therefore seeks the issue of appropriate directions in the matter. 2. Advocate M.Ajay appears for the second respondent. The counsel assures that Exhibit P3 application would be considered and appropriate orders W.P.(C) No.28631 of 2014-D -:2:-
would be passed thereon within a period of one month from today. In view of the above assurance, it is sufficient that this writ petition is disposed of recording the same. Further action on Exhibits P1 and P2 shall await the final orders to be passed on Exhibit P3 by the second respondent.
This writ petition is therefore disposed of directing the second respondent to consider Exhibit P3 application in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of one month from today. All further action based on or pursuant to Exhibits P1 and P2 shall be kept in abeyance until final orders are passed on Exhibit P3 by the second respondent.
