Both the parties appeared in person along with their counsel. The parties have arrived to an amicable settlement. Parties agreed that respondent no. 2 shall pay a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- (rupees ten lakhs) by way of draft to Smt. Vandana Gautam and prepare two fixed deposits for Rs.10,00,000/- (rupees ten lakhs) and Rs. 5,00,000/- (five lakhs) separately in the name of Km. Aditi . A sum of Rs.10,00,000/- shall only be used in the marriage of Km. Aditi. It will be open to the appellant to withdraw the accrued interest from time to time on the fixed deposit of Rs.5,00,000/- which will be utilized in the education of Km. Aditi. Sri Vinit Gautam requested that he may be allowed three months time to make the payment of the amount It is further agreed that on payment of aforesaid amount, the appellant as well as respondent shall withdraw all the civil and criminal cases arising from matrimonial dispute pending in any of the court. The parties are directed to file a joint affidavit detailing therein the terms of the aforesaid settlement. Sri Vinit Gautam submitted that a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- has already been deposited in the form of fixed deposit in the name of Km. Aditi. In case if such amount has already been deposited, he will only deliver the balance amount of draft of Rs.3,00,000/- (rupees three lakhs).
