The erstwhile principal of the institution Smt. Urmila Shukla attained the age of superannuation on 3.7.2008. Accordingly, petitioner being the next senior most teacher at the institution was appointed as an officiating principal and her signatures as such were also attested by the District Inspector of School on 3.9.2008. She is continuing as officiating principal even till date.
By the impugned order dated 22.9.2009, the District Inspector of School has directed for the payment of salary of the post of principal to the petitioner only w.e.f. 1.7.2009. He has not been allowed salary of the post of principal for the period 3.9.2008 to 30.6.2009. Therefore, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
Learned Standing Counsel prays for and is allowed three weeks' time to file counter affidavit. One week thereafter is allowed to the petitioner for filing rejoinder affidavit.
