Heard learned counsel for the appellant on the point of admission and perused the impugned judgment and order.
This criminal appeal has been filed by the accused-appellant against the judgment and order dated 19.5.2010, passed by the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge/Fast Track Court, Court No.02, Ambedkar Nagar in Sessions Trial No. 139/08 (crime no. 117/2008); State Versus Shakuntala Devi @ Sharda Devi under Section 306 IPC, Police Station Ibrahimpur, District Ambedkar Nagar, whereby the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge has held the accused-appellant guilty under Section 306 IPC and has convicted and sentenced him to under rigorous imprisonment for a period of 5 years including a fine of Rs. 1000/- with default stipulation.
