Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioner is a lessee of a land, which has been acquired under the National Highway Act 1956.
The petitioner has filed the present writ petition for payment of compensation.
In this regard, we find that the petitioner has filed an application for payment of compensation, which is pending consideration before the competent authority, respondent no. 2.
In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the matter directing the competent authority to pass an appropriate order on the petitioner's application after giving an opportunity of hearing within six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
