Heard Miss. Savita Jain, learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri I. P. Singh for opposite parties No. 2 to 4.
By means of this writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to make their regular promotion on the post of Senior Noter Drafter in accordance with law and to give them all consequential benefits. Sri I. P. Singh, learned counsel appearing for Jal Nigam has raised a preliminary objection against the maintainability of the writ petition on the ground that the petitioners have an alternative remedy by filing claim petition before U. P. State Public Services Tribunal, Lucknow under section 4(1) of the Act.
In view of the above, writ petition is dismissed on the ground of alternative remedy available to the petitioners and the petitioners are at liberty to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of their grievance.
