Petitioner's husband was employed with the respondent Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. and has died on 21.10.2019. Grievance is that gratuity and other retiral benefits, as per entitlement of deceased employee has not been paid to petitioner.
Sri Ravi Ranjan, learned counsel appearing for respondent nos. 1 and 2 states that the petitioner's grievance would be got examined by the authority concerned and appropriate decision would be taken in the matter.
In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction upon respondent authority to examine petitioner's claim, keeping in view the documents annexed as Annexures 3 an 4 to the writ petition, within a period of two months from today. Benefits found due and payable to petitioner shall be released within a further period of six weeks thereafter, failing which the petitioner shall also be entitled to interest at the rate of 8% per annum.
