JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Raj Baksh Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel through video conferencing.
The present contempt petition has been filed alleging non compliance of the order dated 09.03.2021 passed in Writ Petition No. 5818 (MS) of 2021, which reads as under:
"Heard Shri Anil Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner, Shri Mahendra Kumar Mishra, learned Standing Counsel and Shri Rohit Tripathi, learned counsel for opposite party no.4/State Election Commission.
Learned Standing Counsel on the basis of telephonic instructions submitted that the objections filed by the petitioner has been put up before the Joint Committee for consideration and the report is still awaited. However the decision on the objections will be taken within ten days.
Learned counsel for the parties submitted that the Voter list can be corrected up to three days prior to filing of nomination as per latest circular issued by opposite party no.4.
In view of above the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the competent authority to take a decision on the objection of the petitioner expeditiously keeping in mind the time frame fixed by the State Election Commission so that objection may not render infructuous."
Shri Raj Baksh Singh, learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that the objections regarding voter list of Village Panchayat Mahmoodpur, Block Amethi, Tehsil Amethi, District Amethi, have been considered and amended voter list has been published on 13.04.2021.
It has further been submitted by the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel that 183 names have been deleted from the earlier voter list and 380 new names have been added. He further submits that nothing survives in the present contempt petition as the order dated 09.03.2021 has been complied with.
In view of the aforesaid submission, I do not find any substance to issue notice in the present contempt petition. The present contempt petition has rendered infructuous. Accordingly, it is dismissed as infructuous.
