Petitioner is permitted to implead Director, Local Bodies, U.P. Lucknow, as respondent no.4. Notice on behalf of said respondent has been accepted by learned Standing Counsel.
Grievance of the petitioner is that amount of Group Saving Linked Insurance Scheme payable to petitioner's deceased husband has not been paid. Reliance has been placed upon a communication of the Ghaziabad Development Authority dated 10.2.2014 addressed to the Branch Manager of Life Insurance Corporation of India.
Sri Thakur Azad Singh, learned counsel appearing for the respondent L.I.C. submits that name of deceased husband is not mentioned in the policy, which has been relied upon by the development authority bearing policy 4912. It is also stated that policy itself was taken by respondent no.4.
From the materials which appear on record, it seems that the issue needs to be resolved between development authority and respondent no.4, at the first instance.
Learned counsel appearing for the development authority, and learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent no.4 may obtain instructions in the matter by the next date.
Put up as fresh on 11.3.2016. Name of Sri R.B. Yadav, Advocate, will be shown as counsel for the respondents whenever the matter is listed next.
