Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State as also Sri Atul Dubey, Advocate for the Election Petition.

The petitioner herein seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite parties to ensure recounting of votes polled in election of Gram Pradhan at Gram Panchayat Gudhaiya No. 1, Block Kaisarganj, District Bahraich.

This writ petition is not maintainable for such a relief as the result has already been declared. Remedy is by way of election petition. This writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
