JUDGMENT / ORDER

The Contempt Petition is moved against the order passed by this Court on 29th August, 2016 in W.P.No.7044 of 2016. This Court issued the following directions: 5. In view of the above, the 1st Respondent is directed to pass final orders, taking into consideration the consent letter given by the Petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the emoluments shall be released within a period of four weeks thereafter.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected MP is closed.
2. The 4th Respondent in the writ petition/The District Collector, filed a compliance report in April 2017 and stated as follows:
4. It is submitted that, the Petitioner was already paid 75% of D.C.R.G. on 19.11.2013. In compliance of the Hon'ble High Court the 25% of remaining D.C.R.G. of Rs.51,142/- (Rupees Fifty one thousand one hundred and forty two only) in respect of Thiru.S.Jayachandran, formerly Special Deputy Collector, L.A.(LP), Neyveli was also released vide D2/6536/2017, dated 06.04.2017. It is submitted that, as per the orders of the Hon'ble Court, the emoluments was paid to the petitioner.
5. Hence, it is once again submitted that, respondent has great respect to the orders of the Hon'ble High Court and has never violated or intended to violate the orders of the Hon'ble High Court. However, if this Hon'ble High Court, comes to a conclusion that this respondent committed contempt of court, this respondent prays unconditional apology and prays to punge out from the contempt proceedings.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner still states that certain other amounts are to be paid. But that is in no way connected with the order passed in the writ petition and this Court is of the view that no further adjudication is required in this Contempt Petition as the direction issued by this Court is complied with.
4. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands closed. However, there is no order as to costs.
