Heard and perused the record.
In my opinion, the grievance of the petitioner in the matter of grant of monetary benefits arising out of the service rendered by his sister, who is said to have died in harness on 2.8.2001 can be appropriately examined by respondent no. 2 at the first instance.
Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a representation, along with a certified copy of this order, ventilating all the grievances before the aforesaid respondent within two weeks from today. On such a representation being made, the said respondent shall call for the records and shall pass a reasoned and speaking order, preferably within eight weeks thereafter, after satisfying himself that the petitioner is legally entitled to the monetary benefits after the death of the employee concerned. .
