JUDGMENT / ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Valli Thirumanam drama on 24.02.2017 and also Adalpadal on 25.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.
2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.
3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has contended to the effect that already similar request has been rejected on the ground of law and order problem and therefore the relief sought in the writ petition cannot be granted.
4.It is seen from the records that a representation has been given on 27.01.2017 to the respondents, but the same has not been considered.
5.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.
6.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Sub-Inspector of Police, Vikramangalam Police Station, Madurai District is directed to look into the representation dated 27.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
