JUDGMENT / ORDER

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. 2. Petitioners are accused Nos.1 and 4 respectively in Crime No.104/2014 of Alappuzha North Police Station registered for the offence punishable under Section 397 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. The allegation against the petitioners and other accused is that on 21.01.2014 at 8.30 p.m., with a view to committing dacoity, they attacked the de facto complainant and inflicted very serious injuries on him. After causing very serious injuries to the de facto complainant, they snatched away an amount of ₹1,50,000/- from the de facto complainant, and decamped with the booty. The petitioners have been in custody for the period from 01.10.2014 onwards.
BA.7942/2014 : 2 :
4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Public Prosecutor and perused the CD.
5. The contents of the CD, prima facie, reveal the complicity of the petitioners. The investigation has a long way to go as the 5th accused is yet to be arrested. The learned Public Prosecutor has reported that the petitioners are involved in other serious offences also. They are accused in crimes involving the offences under Sections 307 and 302 IPC. Considering the seriousness of the allegations against the petitioners, the present stage of investigation, and the serious criminal antecedents on the part of the petitioners, I am of the view that the petitioners cannot be enlarged on bail.
In the result, this Bail Application is dismissed.
