This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 09.04.2017 and to investigate the same in accordance with law.
2. Pursuant to the occurrence that took place on 09.04.2017, the petitioner made a complaint against the accused persons before the respondent police on the same day, for which a receipt in CSR No.189 of 2017 was also issued by the respondent. But no action has been taken on the said complaint till now. Hence this Criminal Original Petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no action has been taken by the respondent police on the complaint made by the petitioner till now. He also submitted that relevant Doctor Certificates as regards the treatment taken by the petitioner's father due to the attack of the accused, have also been produced before the respondent police. Stating so, he prayed for a direction to the respondent police to register the complaint and to proceed with investigation.
4. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to register the complaint made by the petitioner on 09.04.2017 and conduct necessary enquiry. If any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is directed to take appropriate action and proceed in accordance with law.
6. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
