Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and to the learned Standing counsel on behalf of the respondents.
The petitioner has filed the present writ petition for issuance of direction to the opposite party to decide the Arms License Application No.28 of 2019 for the grant of Arms License of Pistol moved by the petitioner.
Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner applied for the grant of arms license of Pistol initially on 30.6.2008 and after the amendment in the Arms Act, the petitioner has applied for the grant of arms license on 28.2.2019.
Since the matter is too trivial to keep it pending before this Court, the same may be decided at this stage, to which learned Standing counsel has no objection.
In view of above, the writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Unnao (opposite party No.3) to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license of Pistol, if he is otherwise eligible, in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before him.
