Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
By means of this petition the petitioners have come to this Court stating that they are licencee boatmen at Dashashwamedh Ghat, Varanasi. Their four boats have sunk and the authorities are not allowing them to take out his boats. Respondents no.9 and 10 are muscle men and are interfering with the licence/business of the petitioners.
It is to be noted that if any private individual is threatening the petitioners, the petitioners have remedy of lodging an FIR. So far as hindrance in operating the lincence is concerned, the licensing authority is Nagar Nigam, Varanasi, who has not even made a party. The petitioner can approach the Nagar Nigam, Varanasi for redressal of their grievance.
With the aforesaid direction the writ petition is
disposed of.
