The learned Ombudsman has submitted TDB Report No.207/2012 on the basis of the complaint filed by one K.T.Sasidharan with regard to the necessity to conduct audit of the accounts of the Temple Advisory Committee. It is seen from the report that the learned Ombudsman has heard the complainant, the Devaswom Officer and the Temple Advisory Committee and finally in paragraph 6 recommended that it is a fit case where accounts of the Temple Advisory committee for the years 2010 to 2012 should be audited by a team of Accounts Wing of the Board with the help of the Vigilance Wing.
2. During the pendency of the DBP, it was informed by the learned Standing Counsel that the Board has taken steps to audit the accounts of the Temple Advisory committee.
3. Today, the learned standing counsel brought to our notice a detailed report submitted by the Finance & Accounts Officer of the Travancore Devaswom Board. It is submitted that the matter is pending consideration before the Board.
4. In the light of the above, we direct the Board to take appropriate decision in the matter within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and a action taken report will be filed before the learned Ombudsman.
The D.B.P. is accordingly disposed of.
