The petitioner Institution has filed the instant petition seeking a mandamus commanding the respondents to sanction and release fee reimbursement and scholarship of SC/ST students of the Institution, who were admitted on zero fee basis and whose scholarship amount has not been reimbursed so far. The case of the petitioner is that for Academic Session 2014-15, the amount has not been reimbursed in respect of 31 students of BBA/BCA, for the year 2015-16 in respect of 15 students of Polytechnic and for the year 2016-17 in respect of 27 students of BBA/BCA/Polytechnic. It is pointed out that the Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department by communication dated 20.3.2017 called for a report from the District Social Welfare Officer, Meerut in respect of the claim of the petitioner Institution for the Academic Years 2014-15 & 2015-16, but since no report has been submitted, therefore, no decision has been taken.
Learned standing counsel submitted that respondent No. 2 is competent to examine the grievance of the petitioner.
Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh representation before respondent No. 2 along with certified copy of this order, and in which event, the same shall be decided by respondent No. 2, by means of a speaking order within next three months.
