The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite party for wilful disobedience of the judgement and order dated 30.07.2020 passed in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No.735 of 2020 (Shrawan Kumar Mishra Vs. State of U.P. and 16 others).
An affidavit of compliance has been filed by Sri K. R. Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel on behalf of opposite party. It is stated in para 8 of the affidavit of compliance that the order passed by the writ Court has been duly complied with and decision has been taken on 26.07.2021 and 27.07.2021, copy of which is appended as annexure 1 to the affidavit, therefore, no cause of action remained survive.
In view of the same, the present contempt application is dismissed.
