By means of the present petition, the petitioners are seeking quashing of the first information report dated 24.08.2021 registered as Case Crime No.110 of 2021, under Sections 385, 420 I.P.C., P.S.- Chandpur, District- Fatehpur.
Challenging the first information report, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners herein are innocent and have been falsely implicated by the complainant whose son was caught red handed. The petitioners being Media persons have given report in the Daily newspaper Prabhat News on 08.08.2021 as a result of which first information report was lodged on 24.08.2021.
It is not possible for the Court to ascertain the merits or demerits of the allegations. From a perusal of the first information report, it cannot be said that it does not disclose the commission of the cognizable offence. Any interference at this stage may impede the speedy investigation.
For the aforesaid, we do not find any merit in the writ petition. The same is, accordingly, dismissed.
