It is stated that petitioner's mother was a basic health worker, who died in harness on 28.8.2013. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner's father has also passed away in the year 2014. An application for grant of compassionate appointment was moved on 10.1.2016, which has remained pending. Submission is that despite repeated representations made, no decision has yet been taken by the competent authority.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that grievance of petitioner shall be examined by the competent authority, at the first instance.
In the facts and circumstances, noticed above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no.4 to take an appropriate decision upon petitioner's application for grant of compassionate appointment, in terms of the Uttar Pradesh Recruitment of Dependents of Government Servants Dying in Harness Rules, 1974, within a period of three months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
