Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"(a) To, issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent no. 2 District Magistrate District-Ghazipur to decide the suit no. 302 of 2019 (State Vs. Jhillu and others) proceeding under section 128 of U.P. Revenue Code, pending before the District Magistrate District-Ghazipur, within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
It is stated that proceedings for cancellation of illegal allotment made over land which is recorded as a pond is pending since the year 2018.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2/District Magistrate, Ghazipur to decide the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
