By order dated 29.5.2017, a direction was issued to Tehsildar, Shahganj, Jaunpur to decide proceedings under Rule 115-C of the rules framed under U.P.Z.A.&L.R. Act expeditiously, without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties.
A perusal of the order sheet reveals that since thereafter, the opposite party has been fixing short dates. On some of the date, the proceedings got adjourned because of condolence or lawyers' strike. In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to initiate contempt proceedings at this stage.
The contempt application is disposed of accordingly.
