A co-ordinate Bench of this court, considering the plea that despite the orders passed by the Court, a large number of Doctors in Chhatrapati Shahuji Mahraj Medical University as well as State Medical Colleges including in the PMHS are still ding private practice, had proposed an order for entrusting the job of identifying the Doctors who are indulged in private practice to IG STF, but that order was not signed and recalled as it was a matter relating to Public Interest Litigation and the said Bench was not allocated the P.I.L. jurisdiction.
The conduct of the respondents in not taking appropriate action against erring Doctors, of the University or State Medical Colleges including the P.H.M.S persuades us to propose a stinted action.
No action taken report has been submitted for the last six months, by the authority.
Let this matter be listed on 09.12.2010, by which date the action taken report be submitted by the University, with respect to the Doctors of the University and the in State in respect of the State Medical Colleges including in the PMHS. On the next date of listing the order for getting the matter investigated by an independent agency, may also be considered.
