Heard Shri Lokesh Kumar Dwivedi, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned standing counsel for the State - respondents and Shri Vrindavan Mishra, for respondent no. 2.
The petitioner, in this writ petition, is seeking a direction to the respondent no. 1 to decide his revision, which is stated to be pending before the respondent no. 1.
It is stated that hearing in the revision took place on 14.02.2019, but thereafter, the Officer concerned has been transferred and therefore, no decision has been taken and the matter is still pending.
No useful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending. We dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondent no. 1 to decide the pending revision of the petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in his Office.
Till such decision is taken, the parties shall maintain status quo with regard to premises in question.
