This writ petition has been filed assailing the order dated 15.02.2021 passed by respondent no. 2 in proceedings under Section 47(A) of the Indian Stamp Act.
At the very outset, learned Standing Counsel has pointed out that petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing an appeal under Section 56(1-A) of the Indian Stamp Act.
In view of said fact that the petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing an appeal, writ petition is not maintainable and the same is dismissed.
However, it is provided that in case petitioner files an appeal within one month from today, the appellate authority shall not go into question of limitation and shall decide the same, strictly in accordance with law.
