Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following among other relief:-
"A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of the mandamus commanding/ directing the Settlement Officer Consolidation, Gorakhpur i.e. respondent no. 1 to decide the appeal no.
412 of 2010 (Gauri Shanker S/o Ramashrey and others) U/s 11 (1) U.P. Consolidation of holding Acts, withing stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. "
The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that an appeal instituted in the year 2010 has not been disposed of, till date Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the respondent no. 1, the Settlement Officer Consolidation may endeavor to decide the appeal (412 of 2010) as expeditiously as possible without granting unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.
