Antony Dominic, J. Petitioner claims that he is in love with Sumayya, daughter of the 3rd respondent and that to his knowledge, she has attained majority. He says that in order to prevent his fiancee from continuing her affair with the petitioner, the 3rd respondent is keeping her under illegal detention. With that allegation, he has filed this writ petition with a prayer for the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus.
2. Instructions obtained by the learned Additional Director General of Prosecution shows that the alleged detenue is only 17 years old and that the 3rd respondent, her father, is working abroad and is presently out of the country. Evidently therefore, being the father and natural guardian of the alleged detenue, who is a minor, the 3rd respondent is entitled to have custody of his daughter. In such circumstances, petitioner cannot maintain the writ petition with a prayer for habeas corpus seeking to

liberate her. We do not find any merit in this writ petition.
Writ petition is dismissed.
