JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner is aggrieved by Ext.P1, which according to the petitioner is an ex-parte award. The amounts granted as gratuity is Rs. 38,250/- with interest @10% from 01.01.2008. In such circumstance, if the petitioner deposits the entire amounts due (with interest @10% from 01.01.2008) within one month from today, and also pays an amount of Rs.2,500 as cost to the 2nd respondent, Ext.P6 shall stand set aside and the matter shall be considered afresh. 2. The G.C No.180 of 2009 shall then be restored to the files of the authority. This Court has passed the present order without issuing notice to the 2nd respondent, since an expeditious consideration is required and since the Court has granted a cost of Rs.2,500/- to the 2nd respondent. The W.P.(C) No.26514 of 2014 - L 2 authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act, shall see that the matter be settled within a period of two months from the date of deposit of the amount. If the deposit is not made and the cost not paid as directed herein above, Ext.P6 order shall continue to be in force.
The writ petition is disposed of.
