2. Today, the petitioner and the second respondent/ defacto complainant along with their respective learned counsel on record are present. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent is also present. The identities of the parties have been verified. They have submitted that the dispute between them has been amicably settled. They have also filed a joint compromise memo dated 27.03.2017 signed by all the parties to that effect. When this Court enquired the parties, particularly, second respondent / defacto complainant, about the factum of compromise and the terms of the compromise, he admitted the same. He also expressed no objection in quashing the FIR in Crime No.1585/2016 registered against the petitioner herein.
3. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the FIR in Crime No.1585 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent is quashed. The Joint Compromise Memo dated 27.03.2017 signed by both the parties is taken on record.
