Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned Standing Counsel The applicant is before this Court against the wilful defiance of the order dated 18.5.2017 passed in P.I.L. No.21934 of 2017 (Shavej Khan @ Saved Ali Khan v. State of U.P. & Ors.).
The Court has proceeded to examine the record in question and find that present contempt application has been filed with delay and laches and no satisfactory explanation has been given for condoning such a delay.
Consequently, the contempt application is dismissed on the ground of limitation. The notices, if any, stand discharged.
