ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus to declare the action of respondent Nos.2 and 3, in detaining the petitioner in the Ist year of B.Tech course and not permitting him to appear for the examinations of Ist year, as illegal and arbitrary.
The petitioner has admitted that as against the minimum required attendance of 65%, he has put in only 54.2% of attendance. He has however pleaded that on the ground that he has suffered post operative infection for left INL tibia, he could not secure the minimum required attendance of 65%.
This Court in Writ Petition No.34268 of 2014, while considering a similar plea dismissed the said Writ Petition by order, dated 13.11.2014, by holding that even for genuine reason of ill-health of a student, he cannot be exempted from the minimum required attendance of 65%.
For the same reasons for which the aforesaid Writ Petition was dismissed, this Writ Petition is also dismissed with the direction that the reasons contained therein shall form part of this order.
As a sequel, WPMP.No.44650 of 2014 is disposed of as infructuous.
