The instant petition has been invoking the supervisory jurisdiction of this Court in challenging the order dated 18.07.2019 passed by the Election Tribunal in Election Petition No. 01 of 2016 declining to allow application filed by the petitioner to summon certain documents.
The Tribunal has observed that presently cross- examination of the election-petitioner is in progress and purpose of filing the application is to delay her cross- examination.
This Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned order at this stage in exercise of supervisory power.
The present writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the impugned order at appropriate stage and also without prejudice to her right to file fresh application for summoning the documents at the stage of her own evidence.
