The petitioner has approached this Court on account of the failure on the part of the Revenue officials to take action based on a complaint filed by the petitioner regarding the mistake in survey number of his property. The petitioner relies on Exts.P3 and P7 and submits that there is a bonafide mistake. According to the petitioner, the property is actually situated in Survey No.89 and the document it is shown as 23/7. The Tahsildar in Ext.P10 stated that there is a dispute regarding ownership of the property between Revenue and Forest and without resolving the dispute, the mistake as pointed out by the petitioner cannot be rectified. In view of the facts stated above, there shall be a direction to the first respondent District Collector, Palakkad to address the grievance of the petitioner in the light of Exts.P3, P7 and P10 after soliciting the views of the Forest Department and the petitioner.
