JUDGMENT / ORDER

Notice on behalf of opposite parties has been accepted by learned Chief Standing Counsel.
By means of present writ petition, the petitioner prays for a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite party no. 2 to grant fire arms' license in respect of DBBL Gun in his favour forthwith.
Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner applied for the grant of Arms License for the DBBL gun before the opposite party no. 2 but the same has not been sanctioned so far.
The precise prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner is that suitable directions be issued to the opposite party no. 2 for grant of Arms License for the DBBL Gun within a stipulated period, fixed by this Court.
In view of the above, without looking into merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction to the District Magistrate, Barabanki to consider the application for grant of Arms License for the DBBL gun and decide the same in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
