JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner's goods under transport were detained as per Ext.P1, on the ground that the petitioner having business at Ottapalam, was consigning goods to Alappuzha and that there was no reason, why it should ply between Palakkad and Thrissur, since, there was an alternate route from Palakkad to Trissur. The petitioner's contention as is evident from the explanation is that, the petitioner having received a purchase order from Alappuzha; had sourced it from its supplier at Kanjikode and the goods were detained on transport, at Kuzhalmannam. In any event, the goods were accompanied with the invoice showing payment of tax. 2. In such circumstance, there shall be an order directing release of the goods expeditiously on production of a certified copy of this judgment, on the petitioner executing a simple bond without sureties.
The Writ Petition is disposed of. No cost.
