The petitioner has applied for a temporary permit as per Ext.P1 application, to conduct 'substitute service' for a period of four months on the route Mundukottackal - Pathanamthitta in respect of stage carriage bearing No.KL-02/U 7682. 2. If no other person has applied for a temporary permit to operate a stage carriage in that vacancy, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider Ext.P1 application for a temporary permit of four months duration and issue the same, within one week from the date of production of a copy of this judgment. Needless to say, such issuance of temporary permit will be subject to the preferential claim, if any.
