Vijayakumar Majage, Addl. SPP for R1) This Criminal petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to quash the entire proceedings in CC No.74/2016 pending before the JMFC-III, Davanagere for the offences P/U/S 498(A), 504, 506 and 114 read with 34 of IPC and under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act registered by the Mahila P.S., Davanagere against the petitioners.
This Criminal petition coming on for Admission, this day, the Court made the following:
O R D E R Counsel for the petitioners is absent. Perused the records.
2. This petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.74/2016 arising out of Crime No.77/2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 504, 506 and 114 read with 34 of IPC and under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, on the file of the JMFC-III, Davanagere.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Addl. SPP appearing for respondent No.1 submitted that after trial, petitioners are acquitted of the above charges vide judgment dated 30.11.2017. Submission is placed on record.
4. In view of the above submission, nothing further survives for consideration in the petition.
Hence, petition is dismissed.
