The petitioners are having a school bus which is duly registered with RTO bearing registration no. U.P.-16CT-6516. The petitioners wanted to pay one time road tax in respect of the said bus but the transport authorities declined to accept one time tax on the ground that the recognition of the school has not been renewed.
The petitioners contend that the recognition of the school has been renewed in June, 2017 and that there is no legal impediment in the deposit of one time tax in respect of the said bus. The petitioners are also disputing the late fee which is being sought to be realized on account of delay in payment of road tax of the aforesaid bus. In this connection, petitioners have submitted a representation dated 08.07.2017 to the respondent no.3 but till date no action has been taken.
In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, no purpose will be served in keeping the matter pending before this Court and we dispose of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to make a comprehensive representation making all their grievances in respect of payment of one time road tax in connection with the aforesaid bus to the respondent no.2. In case, petitioners make any such representation within one month from today, the respondent no.2 shall consider it in accordance with law and pass a speaking order as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months of filing of such representation.
The writ petition is disposed of.
