Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the State-respondents.
The petition has been filed seeking the following relief-
"i) issue a writ, or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no.2 Nayab Tehsildar (Ram Nagar), Mariyahun, Jaunpur to hear and decide the mutation case No.T201814360600370 (Shakuntala Devi Vs. Urmila Devi) Under Section 34 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 within stipulated time as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
It has been stated that a mutation case filed by the petitioner in the year 2018 has not been decided till date.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2 Nayab Tehsildar (Ram Nagar), Mariyahun, Jaunpur to endeavour to decide the mutation case of the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
It is, however, provided that the similar matters, which have remained pending for a longer period, must necessarily be afforded preference.
