JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.CJ
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to respondents 4 to 7 in view of the judgment being passed today.
2. Petitioner has approached this Court for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent not to interfere in any civil dispute and not to harass the petitioner and his family members. Petitioner's case is that he, along with his son, has purchased a land in Survey No.473 of 2007 as per document bearing No.1440 of 2007. A civil suit being O.S.No.865/2007 filed by the 7th respondent as power of attorney holder is pending before the Munsiff Court, Chavakkad. It is submitted that the 3rd respondent is unnecessarily interfering in the civil dispute between the petitioner and the party respondents.
3. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that on a complaint filed by respondents 4 to 6, petitioner was called at the police station once and his statement was recorded. It is also submitted that crime No.1841/2014 has been registered on the complaint and investigation is in progress.
4. In view of the facts on record and as stated by the learned Government Pleader, we do not think that this is a case in which there is any police harassment. We only observe that police authorities shall proceed with the investigation in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure.
With the above observation, this writ petition is closed.
