Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the court below to decide Execution Case No. 12 of 1996 within a stipulated time.
Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition at this stage stands disposed of with a direction to the court below to decide the same expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order in the light of the judgment of the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Hameed Kunju vs. Nazim 2017 (8) SCC 611 in which it has been observed that the object of the rent laws all over the State is to ensure speedy disposal of eviction cases between the landlord and tenant and especially those cases where the landlord seek eviction for his bona fide need.
