1. Admittedly the petitioner's application for issuance of fire arm license is pending since 25.11.2013. Meanwhile Arms Rules 2016 have been enforced prescribing a new proforma and procedure for issuance of the said license.
2. Accordingly, while no mandamus as prayed for may be issued, it is open to the petitioner to make a fresh application under Arms Rules 2016. Such application if file within a period of three weeks from today alongwith a certified copy of this order, it is expected that the same shall be dealt with and decided strictly in accordance with law within a time line provided under those Rules.
3. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
