Heard learned counsel for the parties.
By the instant writ petition, petitioner seeks following relief:
"i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondent no. 2 to issue the Arm Llicense of N.P.B. revolver/pistol to the petitioner for the protection of his personal life and property as well as his family members in pursuance of the application dated 07.02.2017."
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the second respondent, District Magistrate, Prayagraj, shall pass appropriate order, in accordance with law.
In view thereof, on consent, the petition is disposed of directing the second respondent, District Magistrate, Prayagraj, to consider and decide the application of the petitioner by reasoned and speaking order, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of filing of certified copy of this order alongwith copy of the writ petition.
It is clarified that the Court has not considered the claim of the petitioner on merits.
