By impugned order dated 31.3.2018, the District Minority Welfare Officer, Mau has re-determined the Electoral College in pursuance of the order dated 17.2.2017 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 46889 of 2016. Simultaneously, he has also notified the election programme, according to which, the election is scheduled to take place on 8.5.2018.
Since the elections have already been notified, therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain the challenge to the validity of the impugned order in so far as, it determines the Electoral College at this stage, but leaves all the contentions in respect thereof open for being agitated before the appropriate authority, after the elections are held.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
